My qualifications and experience for conducting estate sales and appraising
personal property are outlined below.
In December 2002, I retired from the judicial system with over 30 years of service. Recently, I was elected
as the Miller County Circuit Clerk, taking office on January 1, 2007.
Early on, I developed an organizational ability and a no-nonsense
process that earned me the reputation of getting the job done quickly
and efficiently. I also was very active in community affairs, serving
ten years on the school board and organizing multiple successful
fund-raising events in the school and community. I now serve as the Box
Office Manager for the TexRep Community Theater.
In 1988, I began conducting estate sales
and appraising estates as a private business. I had personally been
buying and selling antiques and collectibles for several years. My
staff and I have over 75 years combined experience in the
antique/collectible field and in selling estates. Since 1988, I have
conducted in excess of 350 estate sales. The last five years I have
averaged twenty-four sales per year. With this experience and our
background in antiques and collectibles, we are able to accurately price
each and every item according to its value and marketability in this
area.
I have conducted estate sales and made
appraisals for the Trust Departments of Regions Bank, Hibernia Bank,
BancorpSouth; law firms of Dunn, Nutter & Morgan; Dowd, Harrelson &
Moore; Karlton Kemp; Keil & Goodson; and for many individual clients. I
have on several occasions been designated by the courts to make
appraisals and conduct sales. I have also conducted farm sales and
disposed of vehicles, trailers, boats, etc., through the sealed bid
process. |
